DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - PARADISE FOUND
“White sand beaches that seem to endlessly run into the horizon, punctuated with slim coconut trees reaching the skies: it’s what the Dominican Republic is best known for… and is only one of the many unique attractions for charter yachts and superyachts”.
This beautifully attractive and historic island is synonymous with exclusivity, luxury and privacy. The selling points of the Dominican Republic for the operational charter yacht include the following:
WHERE CAN THE BOAT BE BASED?
A network of modern and functional marina destinations (for all sizes of yachts and superyachts) are on hand throughout the Dominican Republic to ensure functional operational platforms for charter itineraries – Marinas where the yacht can conveniently clear in and out as a port of entry include: Casa De Campo (south coast - La Romana), Cap Cana Marina (south east coast – Punta Cana), Marina Zar Par (south coast – Santo Domingo), Puerto Bahia (east coast – Samana) and Ocean World Marina (north coast – Cofresi). There are no requirements for COVID Vaccination cards or proof of COVID Test for crew and passengers prior to entry into the Dominican Republic by sea.
FLYING GUESTS AND CREW IN AND OUT?
Nine international airports and an even larger network of domestic flight transfer networks and helicopter services enable the charter yacht captain to fly in clients, owners (and crew) conveniently to within easy reach of the yacht - wherever the vessel is berthed. There are no requirements for COVID Vaccination cards or proof of COVID Test for crew or guests prior to entry into the Dominican Republic by air. Despite the relatively large size of the island, a little foresight and pre-planning ensures that clients and owners are never far away from ‘wherever they want to be next’ and all yachts cleared into the Dominican Republic are facilitated free movement within the state. Securing the services of a good yacht agent in the Dominican Republic is always very helpful in order to achieve this.
